Have you ever thought about “rubbing elbows” with Jesus? I don’t mean just the pre-social distancing greeting, I mean really dwelling in his presence. Can you imagine what you would learn, what you would see, how you would be changed? Let’s think about how Jesus calls us to be together in fellowship in his priestly prayer in John 17.

Confession and Forgiveness
Loving God, we confess that at times we do not share in the joy of the resurrection but are caught in the worries of the world. We confess that we do not always live in the spirit of new life but remain discontent, grumbling and anxious. Forgive us for not sharing in the Good News. Forgive us when we find it more comfortable to worry and complain than to risk the joy and encouragement of new life in Christ. Call us back to Your ways, O God, to seek hope and reconciliation, restoration and peace. In the name of the Risen Christ, we pray. Amen.
Christ is Risen! The stone is rolled away, the tomb found empty. Mary calls out, “I have seen the Lord!” We have seen Christ, too, in every helping hand, in every heartfelt gift, in every choice to restore life in this world. We are called to this new life, a life of forgiveness and reconciliation. You are forgiven; accept your forgiveness and know that God loves you and desires great joy for your life. Walk forward on this journey of faith, knowing your brothers and sisters are with you. Amen.

Almighty and ever-living God, you hold together all things in heaven and on earth. In your great mercy receive the prayers of all your children, and give to all the world the Spirit of your truth and peace, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

We don’t always know how much money we have, or how much we will need; in precarious economic times we are tempted to hoard our money for ourselves.
In this offering we have the opportunity to show our faith, that our God will supply all our needs.
We walk by faith, we live by faith, we give by faith.
God of great gifts, you have given us so much, accept these gifts from our hands, our faithful response to your abundant grace. Amen.

Uplifted by the promised hope of healing and resurrection, we join the people of God in all times and places in praying for the church, the world, and all who are in need.
A brief silence.
O God, call your people to be one, as you are one. Unite your church in the truth of your gospel, the love of our neighbor, and the call to proclaim your reign to all people. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Make your justice known among the nations of the earth. Protect the vulnerable and watch over families and loved ones kept apart by this pandemic. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Come to the aid of your children. We pray for those engulfed in grief, those without supportive families, and for all who are isolated, powerless, or afraid, that all may rest their anxieties in your care. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give courage to all who embark on new ventures. We especially remember this day those who risked their lives to serve in our armed forces. Grant safety to those serving at home or abroad, and assure them of your never-failing strength. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Be with those we name before you now...
Raise all your saints to eternal life. Until that day, we give you thanks for the faithful examples of those who have listened to your voice and now rest in you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
With bold confidence in your love, almighty God, we place all for whom we pray into your eternal care; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the God who raised Jesus from the dead grant you grace,
the Son who gave his life for you give you peace,
and the Spirit who is with you day by day,
inspire you to greater service both now and forever more. Amen
