Table of Stewardship; Works with the various areas within the church that help maintain and operate the congregation and building.
a. Is responsible for the upkeep of all grounds buildings and other equipment and properties owned by the congregation, unless such upkeep is specifically assigned to another committee.
b. Maintains an inventory of property together with depreciation estimates of replacement and repair.
c. Is empowered to spend, within budgeted allocation, what the committee thinks necessary for repair and maintenance of properties. Minor repairs should be made promptly.
d. Makes recommendations to the Executive board on long range improvements of the building and other properties or major expenditures including property
acquisitions.
e. Submits a cost estimate pertaining to the repair and upkeep of the properties of the congregation, especially with regard to long range plans, to the Table of Stewardship for consideration in preparing the annual budget.
f. Is responsible for recruiting and training ushers for the collecting and handling of the Sunday offering and other special offerings. Ushers will assist the pastor with other aspects of the services as needed.
g. Organizes and supervises all efforts to encourage members to practice Christian stewardship in time, talent and treasures.
h. Develops and maintains an ongoing stewardship system so as to minimize the necessity of special fund drives.
i. Will sustain a committee to maintain the cemetery and burial procedures.
