Bless Minnesota – Adopt Your Street in Prayer

On April 20th we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This event is the spiritual glue, which binds us together as Christians with an eternal hope. From the resurrection we gain “new life” for the future. Our destiny is not tied to this world but the world beyond in eternity where we live forever with our Lord. This is such a powerful and meaningful message for us to revisit not just once a year but every day.

How can we live in the newness of life, which God offers us in Jesus? As a church family and as individuals I am excited to offer a new approach for sharing in this “new life” venture.

St. Paul’s will join together with many other local congregations, businesses and organizations as partners in a growing movement called Bless Minnesota – Adopt Your Street in Prayer.  Together we will commit to praying for our neighborhoods and those living on our streets. As a church family we can be on the ground floor of a movement, which will transform neighborhoods and will create a healthy, life-giving bond for our communities in which we live.

The kickoff of this movement is during the months of April, May and June. Christians throughout this geographic region will be joining efforts through Bless Minnesota – Adopt Your Street in Prayer!  We will take our prayers out of the church and into the streets as we pray for peace, relationships, needs of our neighbors and friends. By doing this we will share the message of Jesus Christ!

Imagine what might happen if we turned prayer into a lifestyle rather than a program? Psalm 133 declares that when brothers and sisters dwell together in unity… God commands a blessing!

You will hear more about what you can do in the days to come. Our Prayer Ministry Team will help to organize our efforts.

I am really excited to get St. Paul’s involved in this ministry.  Please feel free to check out the website for BlessMN.org. We will create “new life” throughout our state and country by getting involved in this prayer connection.

God’s blessing as we journey to Easter

A friend in Christ,

Pastor Gorden

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people…that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior who wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.  1 Timothy 2:1-4
