Happy Easter!

Yes, it is Easter and for the next seven weeks we celebrate the season of Easter. We now enter into the fifty days of Easter season. Let us join together in expressing our thanks and praise to a loving God.

The focus of Easter is imbedded in our understanding of the resurrection miracle. God’s one and only Son, Jesus, rose from the dead to give all who would choose to believe an eternal hope. This season no matter how long, is not meant to explain or verify the truth of the resurrection. Rather, as people of faith we are to trust in God’s promises of life and salvation.

Trusting in God’s promises was the central theme of our Lenten journey leading up to our Easter celebration. The Glory Days message is to trust in God’s promises for God’s word is sure. It occurred to me that Joshua simply trusted in God’s promises and he was chosen by God to lead the people into the Promised Land.
In Lent we learned that these days right now are The Glory Days and God wants us to live out of our inheritance.

What is this inheritance? Our inheritance is the gift of grace which God the Father has intended for each and every one of us. There is no greater gift of God’s grace than the resurrection to eternal life. If we live out of our inheritance we choose to live in the Promised Land God has provided for us.

Joshua learned to submit his life to God. In submitting to God’s will his life was not made easy. He simply was given the strength to endure whatever would come before him. As we think about the resurrection miracle it is critical to trust God’s providence for our lives. Joshua was able to conquer many people in battle but his real success was found in trusting God to provide for his future and that of his people.

This Easter season why don’t you accept your Promised Land inheritance? Live with the assurance that your future is bright. You see we are all conquerors. God has given us a very unique gift and God’s intent is for us to receive all that God has offered.

Remember God’s word is sure! May you seek a conquering spirit to walk into the Promised Land! It is time to get out of our wilderness wanderings and live in the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the risen Christ. He is lord of all and nothing can take that away from us. Being convicted by our relationship to Jesus, live your life, as though, these are The Glory Days.

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angel nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 37-39)
