Organ Update

At a specially called congregational meeting on June 24th, the people of St. Paul’s Lutheran voted unanimously to rebuild the historic organ in our sanctuary. Conversation and questions were very positive and it was encouraging to experience the enthusiasm behind the project. It was agreed upon that 1/3 of the cost of rebuilding would be taken on by receiving specially designated gifts from the congregation, with the rest of the cost coming from both Trust and Memorials and our operations fund savings. Simply put, once the 1/3 ($26,800) is received, we can sign the contract with the organ builders and get in their queue for when they can begin work. We don’t have a definite time when the work will be completed. It will depend on when the funds come in and when the organ builders are available to start our project. If you are excited to help us raise that first 1/3 necessary to begin the rebuild, please use one of the designated envelopes you can find at church or put in the memo line of your check, “organ project”. We know that these gifts, given over and above your regular giving, come from a special place in your hearts and we are excited to see the organ returned to it’s former glory.
