10:30 Service

posted Jul 25, 2018, 9:51 AM by Tracey Morris

Exciting changes coming this fall for our “late” service at St. Paul’s!
Here are the details on changes starting September 2!
1. The 10:45 service will become the 10:30 service
2. We will have a new focus on Family Worship at 10:30. Children start in worship, and each week there will be a children’s message about 10-15 minutes into the service after which we will dismiss children to Sunday School.
3. We will be working on liturgy and music to make the service more accessible to families, visitors, and guests.
We are excited to infuse some new energy into the 10:30 service and invite you to come and experience it for yourselves! If you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor Luke in the office or by email pastorluke@stpaulsinhanover.org

Organ Update

posted Jun 25, 2018, 10:47 AM by Tracey Morris

At a specially called congregational meeting on June 24th, the people of St. Paul’s Lutheran voted unanimously to rebuild the historic organ in our sanctuary. Conversation and questions were very positive and it was encouraging to experience the enthusiasm behind the project. It was agreed upon that 1/3 of the cost of rebuilding would be taken on by receiving specially designated gifts from the congregation, with the rest of the cost coming from both Trust and Memorials and our operations fund savings. Simply put, once the 1/3 ($26,800) is received, we can sign the contract with the organ builders and get in their queue for when they can begin work. We don’t have a definite time when the work will be completed. It will depend on when the funds come in and when the organ builders are available to start our project. If you are excited to help us raise that first 1/3 necessary to begin the rebuild, please use one of the designated envelopes you can find at church or put in the memo line of your check, “organ project”. We know that these gifts, given over and above your regular giving, come from a special place in your hearts and we are excited to see the organ returned to it’s former glory.

Prayer Shawls

posted Jan 23, 2017, 5:45 PM by Tracey Morris   [ updated Jul 7, 2018, 10:47 AM ]

Prayer is a powerful thing! If you know someone in need of prayers and a reminder of God’s love for them, consider giving them a prayer shawl. We have plenty of shawls available and they come with a gift bag and card – and they are free! If you would like one stop in the church office.
